    Ghana Signs Agreement with Grenada for Recruitment of Nurses – Health Ministry

    The Ministry of Health, headed by Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has announced that the Government of Ghanahas signed a bilateral agreement with the Government of Grenada for the recruitment of Ghanaian nurses to serve in the Caribbean nation.

    In a statement issued by the Ministry, the initiative seeks applications from experienced, dynamic, and committed registered nurses who are eager to take up what it describes as a “challenging yet highly rewarding professional opportunity” in Grenada. The available positions include Critical Care Nurses, Accident and Emergency Nurses, Public Health Nurses, and General Nurses.

    To qualify, applicants must meet the regulatory requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (NMC)and possess at least five years of relevant working experience in their respective specialties.

    The Ministry outlined a detailed list of application requirements. Each applicant is expected to submit original and two photocopies of their academic certificates, a certificate of good standing from the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and proof of current and previous employment.

    Applicants must also provide a certificate of criminal record issued by the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Department within the last six months, a certificate of change of name where applicable, and an original birth certificate with two copies.

    Additionally, candidates are required to attach two copies of an up-to-date curriculum vitae, two reference letters dated within the past six months, and a recent endorsed passport-size photograph with a white background. They must also provide the biodata page of a valid passport with at least two years of validity, a completed application form, and any other relevant supporting documents.

    According to the Ministry, the application process will begin on Friday, 24th October 2025, and close on Tuesday, 28th October 2025. Interested applicants are required to submit their applications through the Ministry of Health’s Recruitment Portal at https://hr.moh.gov.gh or via email at mohhrhd@moh.gov.gh.

    Candidates are also expected to present all original and certified copies of their qualifications and professional registration documents on the day of their scheduled interview. The Ministry cautioned that incomplete or unsuitable applications would not be acknowledged.

    The statement emphasized that this partnership between Ghana and Grenada is part of the government’s broader efforts to strengthen international cooperation in healthcare and provide Ghanaian health professionals with opportunities to contribute to global healthcare delivery while gaining valuable international experience.
